Ceres- Celestial Legend:
I first came across this anime after reading the first two mangas. I was DESPERATE to find out more but could not afford the books. I went on ebay and brought the boxset... How glad I am that I did! It touched me the same way that Pretear did. I would even say more so. The story was indepth, there was great character developments, the art was great even though the budget was hard to stretch. Yuu Watase's create was brought to life in a incredible style. The story just kept on twisting and turning full or surprises, heart ache, humour and general smile inducing brilliance. The characters were introduced brilliantly and you really got hooked. The only fault to it was the voices for the English dub. It was very staggered at times and you kind of felt that the characters weren't speaking in the right emotions.
Anyway Ceres is about Aya Mikage a 15 year old twin, who, upon reaching her 16th birthday, discovers that there is more to her family and her ancestry than she had ever known. The series starts with a shoking end to the first episode which keeps you questioning all the way through. Aya discovers that she is the decendant of a Ceestial being, an angel out on a vendeter to retrieve her celestial robes, seek revenge against the Mikage family and return to heaven. The problem being that Ceres awakens from within Aya and takes over and when she does Aya has no way of controlling her.
Characters such as Aki- her twin brother, Yuhi- The kind hearted, protective boy she now lives with. Toya- the obligatory hot guy who can't help but protect her even when he works for the family that's trying to kill her. Suzumi- another descendant of a Celestial being who lets Aya into her home and protects her. Mrs Q- a hillarious and wacky maid that lives with Yuhi and Suzumi.
Anyways. To bed I go, I HOPE I get some sleep, PLEASE!!!
