Pyjama Girl-

This is a site full of tales and late night ramblings from an art student who is now living at home and recovering day by day from a medical procedure.

Pyjama Girl's question- Am I the only one who lives in my pyjamas?

Mad Hatter's Tea Party

As I mentioned before, I had friends over for a three course meal a few weeks ago. Wine was opened and me and my guests settled in the garden for a drink. Once they were settled, conversation was good and much laughter could be heard I went inside and started to prepare dinner. For starters I tried a recipe I'd never made or eaten before. I made toasted brioche sliches, topped with creamy cheese with chopped chives in. Upon the cheese went a small triangle of brie and quarter of a strawberry. I know, I know, it sounds weird but it was surprising even to me, who knew it would taste good because of the reputation of where I got the recipe from- It was DELICIOUS!!!

I also used parsley sprigs on it as the recipe said. Made for good decoration and although I'm not a big fan of parsley it went really, really well with the starter.

For main course I made a spaghetti Bolognaise which I always make from scrap using chopped tomatos rather than a jar of sauce. I always use italian herbs and bay leaves in the mince as well. For pudding I made chocolate pots and shortbread biscuits. Sadly my shortbread got burnt :( But we decided to use the rest of the strawberries fromt he starter instead and found this to be just as good if not better.)

The chocolate pots are made using melted chocolate and mixing it with creme fraiche. They taste delicious hot and cold and are very easy to make whilst looking frightfully pooosh! :P
