Of bad Throats and Mini Makes.

Ah deary me, it's been a little while since I updated. Mainly because I have been suffering from tonsillitus, damn the horrible thing. I have gotten quite a bit done though, all that remains now is to post it all up ^_^

For my brother's birthday do at the park last weekend my mum and I made countless amounts of cupcakes. Turned out tha mine were the favourites! **squeal** So I thought I would share the recipe with you.

Apple and Cinnamon Cupcakes:

(The medium brown ones are the apple and cinnamon. The pale brown are vanilla and the dark brown chocolate chip.)

Ingredients:

Measure the weight of 3 eggs. Whatever this weight ensure that the flour, sugar and butter weighs the same.

Butter/marge

Flour

Brown muscovodo sugar

3 eggs

Tsp Cocoa powder

1 and 1/2 chopped and diced apple.

Mixed spices- including cinnamon.

*Mix together the butter and sugar, then add the eggs and afterwards the flour. Mix until creamy smooth texture is acquired.

*Next add the chopped apple and 2 tbs of mixed spices. (This is to an acquired taste so change to suit your tastes. Mixed spices can be found ready ground in containers sold next to herbs in stores.)

*Now add in a tsp of cocoa powder and mix it all again.

*Put tablespoons of the mixture into cupcake paper cases on a cupcake tray. Put the cakes in the oven at gas mark six for 10 mins.

*After 10 mins check on the cakes and adjust time and temperature to what is nessecary. Listen to the cakes and if they are 'singing' (making a low sizzling kind of noise) then leave them in for a bit longer.

Soon you will have some delicious tasting cupcakes ^_^

I've been reading another Harry Potter fanfic this week, they are my secret obsession. My faves are Dramione fics but I do also love everyone's favourite potions master! I've been reading one on the AFF site that I have some fics on. One inparticular has me hooked at the moment: Vain Wisdom All and False Philosophy By Battle_Of_Lissa. I've found it's hooked me in. The thought of a very snarky Snape and a spying Hermione has me going back to read more.

I am aware that my links aren't currently working so I'm going to make a seperate post for all of them. But for now... http://www.adultfanfiction.net/ is the site I read from. For a less 'adult' read there's also fanfiction.net for those who prefer clean and cozy stories. ^_^

I've also been working on a few crafty bits. I made a pillow monster to live on the tongue of my even bigger pillow monster.

I couldn't help but find him to be adorable! **squeeee!**

I also made a little cosmetics bag:

Baring in mind that I have no textiles experience other than what I was taught in my early years at seniour school, and that everything I do is hand made because when I so much as LOOK at a flipping sewing machine they break, I didn't think it was half bad. I was really happy with the inside. The sides of the bag are reinforced with card board so that it keeps it's shape. Was just an experiment of mine as I felt like doing something different. I am quite happy with the outcome.

Well I'm suffering from tonsillitus so I'd best be off to get more hot drinks.
